A: Sunday – Thursday: $14 Adults; $12 Seniors, (65+); $10 Children 3-12 (younger than 3 are free). Friday and Saturday: $18 Adults; $16 Seniors, (65+); $14 Children 3-12 (younger than 3 are free).

 

Q: What are the hours?
A. Gates open at 6:00 to the Amphitheater with access to food and beverage.  The trail is open 7:15 p.m. – 11 p.m. (Sunday – Thursday) and 7:15 p.m. – Midnight (Friday & Saturday)

 

Q: What are the dates for the show? 
A. Opening night is Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The final day is Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

Q: Will my younger child enjoy it? 
A: We haven’t received any reports from younger children and toddlers that the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular is scary. As the trail is illuminated mostly by the pumpkins, however, be sure to hold the hand of any young ones who you feel might be spooked.

 

Q: Can I order tickets online?

You can download the tickets to your phone, once purchased, or print them off at home and bring them with you to the show.

 

Q: What is timed ticketing?

A: We now have timed ticketing on Friday and Saturday evenings. Guests can choose from various time slots to view the show. It is recommended you purchase your tickets in advance as time slots will sell out.

 

Q: If I come on the weekend with timed ticketing, will I still wait in line?

A: Yes.

*From the time you enter the venue to the time you will enter the trail, will be a maximum wait time of approximately 45 minutes.

Your group ticket time represents when your group will begin to enter the amphitheater, not the time you will enter the trail. If you have any questions about how long the wait is, or the status of the lines, please ask at Guest Services, on the ticket plaza. Our hard-working team parking cars, will not know the status at the front gate.  Please plan to be in line at least 15 minutes before the beginning of your group time, allowing approximately 30 minutes to park for the later groups.  

Pay close attention to social media for updates on the nights you attend.  Even if you plan to purchase your tickets at the venue, check iroquoisamphitheater.com repeatedly to monitor sold out status of group times.  If you are purchasing your tickets on site, check iroquoisamphitheater.com, find the gathering area for the group time you wish to purchase that is still available, and save your spot in line, with only one person going to the ticket plaza to purchase the tickets.

 

Q: I can’t make it on the day I originally purchased the tickets, can I use them on another night?

A: Yes, you can exchange your tickets for “like” nights (weeknight for weeknight). If you want to use your timed ticket (Friday/Saturday) on another weekend night, you are NOT guaranteed the same time slot, but will be put in the next available, based on pre-sales.

 

Q: Can you sell out of tickets?

A: Yes, only a limited number of tickets are sold during designated time periods on Friday and Saturday nights to prevent overcrowding.

 

Q: Will I avoid service fees if I purchase at the box office?
A: Yes. Fees are only applied to online ticket sales. You will not pay additional online service fees at the box office. However, a nominal credit card processing fee is collected. There are no fees when paying with cash at the box office.

 

Q: What form of payments are accepted?
A: The Amphitheater box office will accept cash or debit/credit cards, and a major credit card works to purchase tickets online.

 

Q: When is the Iroquois box office open? 
A: Main Amphitheater Box Office: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday;  Mobile Ticket Box Office: 4:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 4:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

 

Q: When does the trail close for the night?
A: Not until the box office has closed and everyone who has purchased tickets for that particular night gets through. (See box office times above.)

 

Q: What accommodations are made for those with disabilities? 
A: Those with disabilities will find parking near the amphitheater box office, with a valid parking permit. Drop-off will also be available near the entrance.

There are a couple of steep slopes on the trail, which is about 1/3 mile long. It's really up to the customer and their comfort level with various grade levels. However, the trail is compacted with crushed limestone which allows for easier mobility and trail docents are available if you have questions. We have guests who utilize wheelchairs each year without issue.

 

Q: What happens if it rains or in the event of severe weather? 
A: The show goes on, rain or shine. In the event that the show is delayed or postponed due to inclement weather, the tickets you’re issued for that particular night will be honored on another day.

 

Q: What happens if I come hungry? 
A: Throughout the Amphitheater, in front of the venue, and at the end of the trail there are a variety of excellent food & beverage options created by our expert culinary team! Along your route to the trail you’ll find THE BISTRO (pizza, soups and hoagies), the new IROQUOIS GRILL (sliders, bento boxes, and signature fried Brussels sprouts), and some special seasonal favorites like grilled corn, funnel cakes & monster cookies. 

 

Thirsty? On your route you’ll find a great selection of craft & local beers, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. We highly recommend the Kentucky Coffee from THE SWEET SPOT! Concessions & bars open at 6:00pm each night of the show; both cash & credit cards are accepted.

 

Q: What if I want to purchase tickets for my church, business or civic organization? Do you offer group rates? 
A: Yes, indeed! For groups of 20 or more, we offer tickets for $12 for Sunday-Thursday. Contact the Louisville Parks Foundation for more information 502/742-9120.

 

Q: Is there a military discount? 
A: Active and retired military receive a $2 off discount, for up to 4 tickets, from Sunday-Thursday. The discount only applies to tickets purchased at the box office. (No combined discounts allowed)

 

Q: I’m looking to avoid the crowds. When is the best time to come? 
A: The lines are always long on the weekends, if you come, particularly on a nice evening, be prepared to wait. Crowds begin to lessen after 9 p.m. The lines and wait times are significantly shorter during the week.

 

Q: What about parking? 
A: Parking is limited in the Amphitheater lot and in the surrounding park area. Additional parking is available at nearby DeSales High School on Kenwood Drive, which is a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) to the Iroquois Amphitheater.

 

Q: I’m from out of town. Are there any hotels nearby? 
A: There are plenty of hotels in nearby downtown Louisville, which is less than 15 minutes away. For more information, visit www.gotolouisville.com.

 

Q: Is camping or RV camping permitted?

A: No. Our public parks are not designed for overnight camping. There are nearby camp sites located in the area.

 

Q: How many pumpkins are there? 
A: Somewhere around 5,000 at any one time.

 

Q: Are the pumpkins real?

A: Most are. The pumpkins in trees are not real.

 

Q: How long do the pumpkins last?

A: We replace the pumpkins every 3 – 7 days depending on the weather conditions.

 

Q: Where do the pumpkins come from?

A: The majority of the pumpkins are locally sourced.

 

Q: Who do the proceeds benefit?

A: Proceeds benefit the Louisville Parks Foundation, a 501(c)3 dedicated to improving Louisville’s public parks for present and future generations. 

 

Q: Are pets allowed on the trail? 
A: Only service animals.

 

Q: Can I take pictures? 
A: Yes, but please no flash photography. It ruins your picture, and the experience of other guests.

 

Q: Can I bring a tripod?
A: Yes. However, to ensure the enjoyment of all our guests, tripods are only permitted on the trail after 9 p.m., Sunday – Thursday.

 

Q: I had photos taken at the photo booth. How do I access the digital photos?

Q: Do you offer a sensory night?

A: Yes. Sensory night is held on Saturday, November 2. It is designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences, and their families, from 4:45– 6:45 pm. (please be sure to choose appropriate time slot). For guests enjoyment, pumpkins will light up the trail, but there will be no music or special effects. Sensory Night at the Louisville Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular, made possible through the generous support of PNC Bank.

 

Q: Anything else I need to know? 
A: Yes. The show is brought to you by Passion For Pumpkins, an organization that got its start in Oxford, Massachusetts in 1988. P4P currently operates two other shows, located in Providence, Rhode Island and Minneapolis, MN.
